G is for gobble gobble + What wine pairs with Turducken?
What is a Turducken you ask? Buckle up for some holiday gluttony…
A turducken is a dish where you stuff your turkey with a duck, and then stuff the duck with a chicken. The birds are de-boned, seasoned with a breadcrumb mixture or alternate stuffing (i.e. sausage), and sewn together for a poultry punch in the mouth.
This is an Olympic cooking event. Better yet, the Thanksgiving tag team belts are on the line. You and your tag team partner will be de-boning, trimming, stuffing, and sewing.
De-boning takes a while, and if you haven’t done it before, warm up with the chicken (mistakes will be hidden as you stuff it in the turkey anyway). You and your tag team partner will have to carefully lift the sides of the layered birds, folding the sides of the turkey together, then one of you must hold it down while the other sews up the back of the turkey with thread.
There are plenty of recipes you can follow online. Let us know if you enter the ring!
